Installation guidance

The filter sock helps reduce fine and silty material entering the pipe. Install the drain to a suitable fall and surround it with free-draining stone or gravel; the existing guidance allows approximately 100 mm of stone beneath the pipe and 150 mm of topsoil above the drainage layer. Confirm the discharge point, trench layout and any local drainage requirements before starting. Additional junctions or end caps may be required for some layouts.
