Underground tank installation is a civil-engineering task. Ground conditions, groundwater, vehicle loading, excavation support, concrete base and surround, access cover, ventilation, anchoring and buoyancy risk must all be assessed before ordering. These polyethylene tanks must not be treated as trafficable unless the complete structural cover and installation have been specifically designed for the imposed loads.
