The FinchPro Pressure and Flow Tester helps establish whether a tap or water supply can provide the pressure and flow needed by an irrigation system. It is useful before selecting sprinklers, drip equipment, pipe sizes or irrigation zones.

How pressure and flow are checked

The gauge provides a pressure reading. Flow is measured separately with a container and stopwatch while water is running. For example, litres per minute can be calculated as container volume in litres multiplied by 60, divided by the filling time in seconds.

Static pressure does not show how much pressure remains at the required flow. Test the supply under representative flowing conditions and never exceed the gauge range. Confirm thread compatibility and use a suitable adaptor where required.
