This flexible stepped drain adaptor joins plain-ended uPVC drainage pipe to a larger clay or compatible legacy drain pipe. It is useful during underground-drainage repair where the existing and replacement pipes have different outside diameters or materials.

The flexible rubber body is secured by adjustable metal bands, allowing it to seal around pipes within the stated ranges. Measure both actual outside diameters before ordering rather than relying only on nominal pipe sizes.

Clean and align the pipe ends, centre each clamp over its sealing area and tighten evenly to the fitting manufacturer's specified torque. Consider flow direction when changing diameter. Confirm whether the proposed drainage system is private or adopted and whether a shear-banded coupling is required for the installation duty.
