Close off a male BSPT threaded connection in water, irrigation or pipework installations.

The Hansen Hex Screw Cap has a female BSPT thread and is used to seal the end of a compatible male-threaded fitting, valve or outlet. Its hex body provides a firm grip during fitting and removal.

Choose the correct size

Select the BSPT size that matches the male thread being capped. This is a female-threaded cap; it does not connect directly to plain pipe.

Installation guidance

• Confirm the thread type, gender and size before fitting.
• Use a suitable thread sealing paste or tape on threaded joints.
• Do not overtighten: hand-tighten, then tighten a further one to two turns only.
• Do not install below driveways, paths or foundations.

Not suitable for swimming-pool or spa water with high chlorine concentrations.
