The Hunter 458200 DC-latching solenoid converts a compatible Hunter irrigation valve for use with battery-powered controllers. A short DC pulse latches the valve open and another pulse releases it, reducing power use where no mains controller supply is available.

• Not a replacement for a standard 24 VAC solenoid unless the controller requires DC-latching operation

Confirm the controller output type before ordering. A 9 V DC-latching solenoid must not be connected to a conventional 24 VAC valve output.
