What this valve box is for

Use this Rain Bird 10-inch round valve box to protect buried irrigation valves, cable joints and serviceable pipe connections while keeping them accessible from ground level. The black body sits below ground and the green locking lid remains visible at the finished surface for routine testing, adjustment and maintenance.

When to choose the 10-inch round box

This is the larger round option for installations that need more access room than a 7-inch round box. Check the outside size of the valve assembly, pipework and cable entries before ordering; choose a Standard, Jumbo or Maxi Jumbo Rain Bird box where a larger enclosure is needed.

Installation and access

Install the box level with the finished ground surface. Route pipework and control cable through the appropriate openings, keep the lid clear of soil and turf, and leave enough working space to remove the lid and service the irrigation components. The locking lid helps secure the enclosure.
